In a part of Dublin known as the Liberties - which is also where the Vikings settled 1100 years ago - there is a small tribe of rebel horse owners. And one day a travelling street musician accidentally crashes her van into the wall of one of their urban horse yards – and out comes a horse and a few boys. One of them brings her for a spin with a horse and two-wheeler, and from that day on she’s hooked…

‘Robin in the Hood’ combines documentary, fiction and musical, to create a modern version of the old ballad of Robin Hood. This time Robin is an urban horse owner from Dublin, and Marian is a traveling busker. Both feel trapped by an unfair and oppressive economic system, but with the help of Dublin´s inner city horse tribe they try to break out and create a new life for themselves.
