Patrick Jordan is a Director of Photography working across feature films, television drama, documentary and commercials, based between London and Dublin.
A graduate of the National Film School at IADT, he has photographed two Academy Award®–nominated short films (Pentecost and Detainment) and has received multiple honours, including two IFTA nominations, the ‘Donal Gilligan Award for Best Cinematography’, and ‘Best Cinematography in an Irish Film’ at the Galway Film Fleadh for the feature film Tarrac.
Recent drama credits include the feature film Ancestors, starring Éanna Hardwicke; Signore Volpe, starring Emilia Fox and Tara Fitzgerald; The Vanishing Triangle, starring India Mullen and Allen Leech; and the four-part series The House Across the Street, starring Shirley Henderson and Craig Parkinson.
Patrick’s comedy work includes The Young Offenders, starring Alex Murphy and Chris Walley; Faithless, starring Baz Ashmawy; and The Other One, a six-part comedy series produced by Tiger Aspect for BBC One.
Documentary projects include While You Live, Shine, a feature-length film about ancient music shot in Greece and the United States and released on Netflix and Amazon Prime, and John Ford: Dreaming the Quiet Man, featuring interviews with Martin Scorsese and Maureen O’Hara.
Patrick has also shot music videos for artists including Lankum and Sinéad O’Connor, and has extensive experience shooting commercial and brand films for a wide range of clients, with projects filmed across the UAE, Japan, Africa, India, the United States and Europe.
Patrick is a member of the Irish Society of Cinematographers.
